Rules for the RaveDragons mobile app, festival feeds, crews, planner, member card, home screen widgets, community, passport, and related features.
Overview
These terms apply to the RaveDragons mobile app and related community features (the "App"). They supplement our Terms & Conditions for physical goods sold on the website. Dutch law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
These App Terms do not govern RaveTickets (ticket sales and event management on ravetickets.nl), which is a separate service with its own terms where applicable.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the App. By signing up you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The App is intended for festival and rave community use and may include user-generated content.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email code and may set an app passcode. Keep your email and device secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account.
One account per person. Do not impersonate others or share credentials.
You may delete your account at any time in App settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, subject to legal retention limits described in our Privacy Policy. If you own a crew, deletion may transfer ownership to another member or dissolve the crew.
4. Community features
The App may offer Find Your Crew and other crew tools, Live Festival Feeds (photos, captions, comments), direct messages, friend connections, passport memories, Festival Planner and festival maps, the RaveDragons Card (points, balance and related wallet or challenge features), home screen widgets, festival event listings, festival requests, and related map and chat features. Availability varies by festival, platform or feature and may change or be offered in beta.
Live Festival Feeds are time-limited: they typically open about 2 days before a festival and close about 1 day after it ends. Content in a closed feed may no longer be available in the App. Crews are persistent groups separate from festival hubs; crew chat and membership continue until you leave, the crew is dissolved, or your account is deleted.
4a. RaveDragons Card
Where enabled, the App may provide a digital member card experience that lets you earn points, convert points to a balance, and use that balance for features we make available in the App. Points, tiers and balances have no cash value outside the App unless we expressly say otherwise. We may change earning rules, conversion rates, or available rewards. Abuse, fraud or guideline breaches may result in adjustment or forfeiture of points or balance.
4b. Home screen widgets
On supported devices (currently iPhone widgets), you may add RaveDragons widgets such as a festival countdown or live timetable. Widgets show information from your account and festival data we provide. Widget availability depends on your device OS and App version. Removing the App or signing out may stop widgets from updating.
5. Crews
Crews are small groups (currently up to 15 members). Each account may belong to at most one crew at a time.
Creating a crew is free. Joining an existing crew is also free; the crew owner decides whether to accept your request. Asking to join a raised hand is also free, and the person who raised it decides whether to accept.
Crew map: if you choose to appear on the map, the App reads your device location for peer-visible live pins while you are viewing the crew map screen, as described in the Privacy Policy. Separately, if you grant location permission (and optionally background / “Always” access), the App may refresh an ambient coordinate used only to match nearby Raise Hand alerts within about 5 km; that ambient location is not shown as your personal pin to other users. You can turn off nearby raised-hand notifications in Settings. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Crew chat is a group conversation visible to current crew members. Messages sent before you joined are not shown to you. Owners may remove members or transfer ownership; we may dissolve crews or rename them when enforcing our guidelines.
Crew names, chat, and map presence must follow our Community Guidelines. Do not use crews to harass others, share illegal content, or evade moderation.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow our Community Guidelines. In summary, you must not post or send illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, or sexually exploitative content; sell illegal goods; spam; scrape the service; or attempt to bypass security or moderation.
7. User-generated content
You keep ownership of content you submit, but grant RaveDragons a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it solely to operate and promote the App and festival features.
Content is scanned automatically before publication (including image and text moderation). We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate our guidelines or applicable law.
Other users may see your username, avatar, posts, and messages within the contexts you choose (e.g. a festival you attend, a crew you join, or the crew map when your pin is visible).
8. Moderation and enforcement
We may warn, remove content, temporarily lock, or permanently block accounts. We may rename or dissolve crews, or remove crew members, when enforcing these terms. Where required, we will explain the main reason for a restriction. You can contact info@ravedragons.com to appeal or ask questions.
9. Reporting
Use in-app report tools for posts, direct messages, crew map entries, or crew chat messages you believe are illegal or violate our guidelines. For urgent illegal content you may also email info@ravedragons.com.
10. Push notifications
With your device permission, we may send notifications about direct messages, friend requests, crew join requests, requests to join a raised hand, crew chat, and related activity. You can change notification preferences in App settings.
11. Third-party services
The App relies on services such as Supabase (auth and storage), Expo (push delivery), Sentry (crash and error diagnostics), Mapbox (crew and festival maps), Apple Maps on iOS and Google Maps on Android, and the Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution. Their terms and privacy policies also apply where relevant.
12. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated in the App or on our website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
13. Liability
The App is provided as-is to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for user-generated content posted by others. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under Dutch law, without affecting mandatory consumer rights.
